Session Selection

At WVSTA we know that presenting at the conference may be a requirement for many of the educators to attend. As well, we strive to foster an environment of sharing and openness.  With the exception of numerous identical presentations, we work to include all sessions submitted by the deadline.

Room Set Up

Each room will have a projector and screen (HDMI) and speakers (1/8" mini-jack) that you can connect your laptop to.  Each room varies in size and we do our best to judge which sessions may need more space, but all participants will have table space to work on, and a chair for their derriere.

Session Types

  • -NEW! Research Poster Presentation
  • -25 minute lecture (typically a information session or introduction to a program)
  • -1 hour hands-on session (tables provided for hands-on activities)
  • -1 hour shar-a-thon session (multiple tables set up in a room similar to a flea market where attendees wander from table to table watching presenters demonstrate activities one on one ( e.g. ideal for dissemination of lessons developed by teachers for a grant or preservice teacher presentations as part of a class).
