The Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) are K–12 science standards developed by states, including West Virginia, to improve science education for all students. WV science teachers follow the WVBE College- and Career- Readiness Standards for Science which are built on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Framework for K12 Science Education .
